About the Public MyData Utilization Support Institution

As a support institution for the use of public MyData in the telecommunications sector, it performs an intermediary role to transmit information from administrative information holding institutions to service providers upon an individual’s request for the provision of their public administrative information.

Program Objective

To support individuals in exercising their right to request the provision of their administrative information by serving as an intermediary that securely transmits administrative information from administrative information holding institutions to service providers, while also supporting the necessary administrative and operational tasks required for service providers to utilize such information.

  • Article 43-2 of the Electronic Government Act (Right to Request the Provision of Administrative Information Concerning the Information Subject)
  • Article 19 of the Notification on the Provision of Administrative Information Concerning the Information Subject

Program Details

When a user submits an online or offline service application (with consent and identity verification) in Step 1, the telecommunications operator requests bundled information from the association (KAIT) in Step 2, the association requests bundled information from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in Step 3, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety requests information from the holding institution in Step 4. In the reverse direction, the result is delivered to the user in the following order: Step 5, information response; Step 6, bundled information delivery; Step 7, bundled information delivery; and Step 8, service application.

Establishment and Operation of an Intermediary System

Establish and operate a Public MyData intermediary system that transmits information by mediating between information-holding institutions and service providers when users request the transfer of their public administrative information.

Support for Participating Institutions

Provide support for the application and approval of Public MyData service providers and for the application and approval of bundled information (administrative information), along with other administrative tasks necessary for utilizing personal administrative information.

About the Financial MyData Intermediary Institution

As an intermediary institution in the telecommunications sector of Financial MyData, it performs the role of transmitting personal credit information held by telecommunications companies to MyData service providers and other authorized entities at the request of the information subject.

Program Objective

To act as an intermediary that securely transmits personal credit information held by telecommunications companies to MyData service providers and other authorized entities upon the request of the information subject, while supporting the activation of Financial MyData services in the telecommunications sector.

  • Article 22-9 (Rules of Conduct for Personal Credit Information Management Companies) of the Credit Information Use and Protection Act

Program Details

Information requestors — MyData operators, data subjects, and institutions — submit telecommunications information requests via API transmission channels to a relay institution composed of three entities: the MyData Support Center (Korea Credit Information Service) and two hub institutions (Korea Credit Information Service, Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute, and Koscom).
