About the ICT Industry Survey
The ICT Industry Survey is a nationally approved statistical survey under the Ministry of Science and ICT (Approval No. 127005, Designated Statistics). It identifies the structure of Korea’s ICT industry and market conditions by product category, region, and company size, providing essential baseline data for policy formulation and private-sector management.
Program Objective
To conduct a comprehensive survey of companies in the domestic ICT industry (with partial sample surveys and statistical processing or citation) in order to analyze market conditions by product category, region, and company size, and provide foundational data for government policy formulation and corporate management strategies.

Article 41 (Preparation and Management of Statistics) and Article 44 (Delegation and Entrustment of Authority), Paragraph 3 of the Framework Act on Broadcasting and Communications Development, and Article 8 (Status Survey) of the Special Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Technology and the Vitalization of Convergence Thereof.

About the ICT Major Products Trend Survey
The ICT Major Products Trend Survey is a nationally approved statistical survey under the Ministry of Science and ICT (Approval No. 127006, General Statistics). It provides timely quarterly analysis of production, exports, and imports of major ICT industry products in Korea, categorized by company size.
Program Objective
To conduct sample surveys of companies in the domestic ICT industry and provide timely analysis of monthly production, exports, and imports of major ICT products by large and SMEs.

About the ICT Business Survey

By analyzing ICT companies’ assessments of current business conditions and future outlooks, it provides leading indicators for policy formulation to promote the ICT industry and for business strategy development by related companies.
Program Objective
To promptly identify business sentiment indices of ICT companies by company size and produce and provide leading economic indicators that support government policy formulation for ICT industry promotion and corporate business strategy development.

About the Software Export Statistics Survey
Since software is an intangible product and cannot be identified through Korea Customs Service statistics based on HS codes, this survey compiles and analyzes quarterly and annual software export values based on status surveys of software-exporting companies to support policies for the overseas expansion of software companies.
Program Objective
To conduct census (or sample) surveys of domestic software-exporting companies and provide timely analysis of quarterly and annual export values, offering foundational data for industrial policy aimed at increasing software exports.

About the Pay TV Subscriber Survey
The Pay TV Subscriber Survey produces reliable statistics on pay TV subscribers—such as market share and the number of subscribers—through the investigation and verification of subscriber data. The survey provides baseline data necessary for establishing a fair competitive environment among service providers and for policy formulation.
Program Objective
Since pay TV service providers are prohibited from providing services to more than one-third of the total number of pay TV subscribers, the survey conducts investigations and verification to ensure the accurate calculation of market share and subscriber numbers.
Legal Basis for the Survey
Article 8 (Ownership Restrictions, etc.) of the Broadcasting Act; Article 13 (Restrictions on Market Share, etc.) of the Internet Multimedia Broadcasting Business Act; and Article 5, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 3 (Preparation and Management of ICT-related Statistics) of the Enforcement Decree of the Framework Act on Broadcasting and Communications Development.

About the Broadcast Media Usage Survey

Program Objective
To regularly survey and analyze broadcast media usage patterns in response to changes in the broadcasting environment, and to utilize insights into public perceptions and viewing behavior in the formulation of broadcasting policies.
